As Summer Heats Up, Take Steps to Prevent Heat Illness

California received a lot of wet weather recently, but warmer temperatures have officially arrived — and employers must do their part in preventing heat illness.

The Division of Occupational Safety and Health, best known as Cal/OSHA, is beginning to conduct high-heat inspections at outdoor worksites to ensure compliance with California’s strict heat illness prevention regulations and other workplace safety and health requirements.
