Beware More Stringent Background Check Requirements

​Employers who conduct applicant background checks face a number of potential compliance issues. In addition to state and local laws restricting how criminal background information may be used in the hiring process, both federal and California laws impose disclosure and notice requirements when employers obtain background check reports.
