On June 29, 2020, the California Supreme Court addressed, in two companion opinions, the circumstances in which the California Labor Code can apply to out-of-state employers with employees who only spend some of their time working in the state (Ward v. United Airlines, Inc. and Vidrio v. United Airlines, Inc. (together, Ward) and Oman v. Delta Air Lines, Inc. (Oman)).
