As we head into the new year, California continues to see a surge in the number of COVID-19 infections, and some employers are starting to experience their first positive cases at the workplace.

In response to the ongoing pandemic, state agencies and the state Legislature have created and implemented sets of laws to address this growing concern — through emergency regulations and the passage of AB 685.
