On August 26, 2020, the California Court of Appeal, Second District reversed a trial court ruling invalidating an employment arbitration agreement contained within an employer’s employee handbook. The case highlights how important it is that employers use well-crafted acknowledgements when distributing new or revised employee handbooks, or even when updating important policies (Conyer v. Hula Media Services, LLC, et al., No. B296738 (Aug. 26, 2020)).
