U.S. Supreme Court Expands Ministerial Exception for Religious Organizations

The United States Supreme Court recently ruled 7-2 that the First Amendment Religion Clauses protect religious schools from discrimination claims made by teachers, reversing a 2018 Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision — and arguably expanding a religious exception to federal employment discrimination laws.
