California Agricultural Labor Relations Regulations Ruled Unconstitutional

In a 6-3 ruling on June 23, 2021, the U.S. Supreme Court held that a California Agricultural Labor Relations Board (CALRB) regulation allowing labor organizations to enter agricultural company property to solicit support for unionization was unconstitutional, as it resulted in an uncompensated taking of agricultural employers' private property under the U.S. Constitution's Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments (Cedar Point Nursery, et al. v. Hassid, et al, 594 U.S. ___ (2021)).
