Employers Large and Small Implement Vaccination Mandates

On September 9, 2021, President Joe Biden announced that his administration will be implementing a mandate requiring all private-sector employers with 100 or more employees to ensure that either their workers receive their COVID-19 vaccine or that they test unvaccinated employees at least once per week. Employers who fail to comply face fines up to $13,600 per violation, and additional penalties will be detailed when the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) releases its Emergency Temporary Standard within the next few weeks. The rule covers between 80 million and 100 million workers nationwide.
