Paying Employees: Holiday- and Minimum Wage-Related Reminders

‘Tis the season for not only holiday merriment, but also annual employment law updates — which include minimum wage increases.

Annual statewide minimum wage increases, which take effect beginning in 2022, vary depending on employer size. Effective January 1, 2022, employers with 26 or more employees must pay their employees a minimum wage of no less than $15 per hours, and employers with 25 or fewer employees must pay their employees a minimum wage of no less than $14 per hour.
