Four Ways to Increase Employee Retention in 2020

Toward the end of last year, 76 percent of CEOs cited "retaining existing talent" as their top management challenge in the Vistage CEO Confidence Index , a survey of small to mid-sized businesses nationwide. And their concern is warranted, given that recruiting qualified individuals is a well-known struggle in the HR community; in fact, 71 percent of recruiters say they struggle to fill a position because of candidate skills gaps, and 85 percent of recruiters say candidates exaggerate skills and competencies on their resume, according to Monster's 2019 State of the Candidate survey.

So, if a company already has hardworking, dependable, accountable employees, what can it do to keep them?
