Improving Employees’ Mental Health Helps Businesses’ Bottom Line

May was Mental Health Awareness month, but throughout the year, everyone should care about not only their own mental health, but also the mental health of their families, friends and colleagues. As the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) WhyCare? campaign says, “Care has the power to make a life-changing impact on those affected by mental health conditions.”

Employers can create a supportive work environment promoting mental health resources and encouraging employees to take advantage of them, which leads to a happier, more productive workforce.
