The last several years have seen a number of changes in the minimum wage rates that businesses must pay their employees. In addition to annual statewide increases, employer characteristics such as size, location and industry all impact minimum wage rates. With new rates set to go into effect January 1, 2025, employers should audit their compensation packages to ensure that they are compliant with the minimum wage laws that apply to them.
