So You Think Our Wi-Fi Is Making You Sick?

In what is being reported as the first court in the United States to allow a claim that “Wi-Fi can make you sick,” a California Appellate Court recently ruled that a former Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) employee may proceed with her claim for failure to provide a reasonable accommodation (Brown v. Los Angeles Unified School District, 60 Cal. App. 5th 1092 (2021)).

But before you turn off your Wi-Fi, there are some lessons to be learned regarding how to handle the next request for accommodation facing your workplace.
