On March 19, 2021, SB 95 brought back California COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave with some big changes. It is retroactive to January 1, 2021 and extends through September 30, 2021.

Covered employees in the public or private sectors who work for employers with more than 25 employees are entitled to up to 80 hours of COVID-19 related sick leave. This is a dramatic expansion from AB 1867, which applied to employers with 500 or more employees.
