City of Los Angeles: Vaccine Paid Sick Leave Due to COVID-19

On June 24, 2021 the City of Los Angeles enacted an additional COVID-19 related paid leave for vaccination purposes (“Order”). The leave was narrowly tailored to only apply to time off to receive a vaccination and recover from any of its side effects and was in addition to any applicable state and local leaves. While the leave was enacted in June, it applied retroactively back to January 1, 2021.1
