City of Los Angeles: Vaccine Paid Sick Leave Due to COVID-19

On June 24, 2021 the City of Los Angeles enacted an additional COVID-19 related paid leave for vaccination purposes (“Order”). The leave is narrowly tailored to only apply to time off to receive a vaccination and recover from any of its side effects and is in addition to any applicable state and local leaves. While the leave was enacted in June, it applies retroactively back to January 1, 2021 and is set to expire on September 30, 2021.1
