When checking an employee’s temperature, should employers compensate workers for their time?

Yes. If, for example, the work shift starts at 8 a.m., but the employer is asking workers to come to work at 7:30 a.m. to have their temperatures checked, the employer needs to compensate its workers for the additional 30 minutes. Be careful because this could also affect employee overtime.
