• During the first several months of the COVID-19 pandemic, employers were directed to address COVID-19 infection control measures through their IIPP based on agency guidance and state and local health orders. Then, on November 19, 2020, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (Cal/OSHA) adopted comprehensive and complex COVID-19 emergency regulations directing employers to address a variety of issues related to COVID-19 in the workplace including establishing and implementing a written COVID-19 Prevention Program detailing the systems and protocols in place for mitigating and responding to COVID-19 infections in the workplace.
