Providing the Notice of COBRA Rights

HRCalifornia

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) applies to employers who have 20 or more employees and offer a group insurance plan.

COBRA requires you to provide notice of rights to continued coverage at the time of a termination or voluntary quit. COBRA entitles “qualified beneficiaries” to continued benefits under the group insurance plan. For more information on your COBRA obligations, see COBRA.
