Cal/OSHA Recordkeeping Obligations
HRCalifornia
Record keeping for Cal/OSHA compliance is a separate issue from the reports and records you keep for workers’ compensation purposes.
Recording an incident does not indicate liability in any way. To help identify patterns in your business, you may want to voluntarily record incidents that you are not required to record.
For more information, see Recording Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses.
