The following examples show the proper overtime calculations in six common situations. Each example presumes a Sunday through Saturday workweek, with a midnight to midnight workday.
Exclamation content: Note: These examples do not take into account legally required meal breaks. Remember that a 30-minute, unpaid meal break is generally required for shifts of more than five hours. For more information, see Meal and Rest Break.
