Falling leaves, cooler weather, football games and cozy afternoons are around the corner. But for HR professionals, autumn also signals the beginning of one of the year’s busiest stretches.

With only a few months left before 2027, now is the time to get ahead of HR tasks that can easily pile up during the holidays. A little preparation can help employers avoid a year-end scramble, keep managers informed and make sure workplace policies and practices are ready for next year.
