The City and County of San Francisco (San Francisco) enacted a Drug-Free Workplace Ordinance (DFWO) that requires employers to adopt a “Drug Free Workplace Policy.”1
At a minimum, the policy should include the distribution or display of educational information regarding the adverse effects of using illegal drugs and the availability of substance-abuse-assistance programs.
