Filing a Discrimination Charge Under State Law

An employee who believes that they have been discriminated against in violation of FEHA must file a charge with the Civil Rights Department (CRD), formerly known as the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, to begin the claim process under FEHA. The CRD may investigate the charge.
