Effective January 1, 2024, the COVID-19 presumptions in Labor Code sections 3212.86, 3212.87 and 3212.88 — that created rebuttable workers’ compensation presumptions for employees, first responders and health care personnel who contracted COVID-19, as well as required employers to inform their workers’ compensation carrier of COVID-19 cases in the workplace — were repealed.
