California law requires that all employers with five or more employees provide sexual harassment prevention training to all employees — supervisors must receive two hours of training and nonsupervisory employees (including seasonal and temporary employees hired to work for less than six months) must receive one hour. Training must take place within six months of hire or promotion and every two years thereafter.
The deadlines by which employees must take refresher training are pretty clear, but many other questions about the state’s harassment prevention training requirements remain.
