When outdoor agricultural work takes place between sunset and sunrise, employers must provide specified lighting in different work areas. The regulation contains a table of different lighting intensity and height requirements for different areas and tasks.

Agricultural employers operating between sunset and sunrise, which includes a large number of crops (such as wine grapes, tomatoes, onions, garlic, melons, etc.) should review the new regulation on Cal/OSHA’s website to ensure compliance.
