HRCalifornia Job Board

HRCalifornia Jobs is a free service to CalChamber members of preferred level or higher. Members may post as many positions on the HRCalifornia Job Board as they need. This is a benefit to CalChamber preferred members. There's no limit and no additional cost. As long as they maintain their membership status, they are free to post and manage their postings.

Why is a free job board a benefit?

According to the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) Human Capital Benchmarking Report, the average cost-per-hire is $4,129 with an average time to hire of 42 days. The value of the HRCalifornia preferred membership and the member job board can be evaluated by asking how many jobs do you post per year?

Preferred members and higher will be able to post an unlimited jobs as part of their membership price. The value of the job board as part of membership, can be evaluated when multiplying the average number of job postings an existing or potential member may need in a given year, times the average posting price of $300 per post. (Postings/yr) *$300.

If an HR professional posts 2 jobs per year, that's $600 of value for just two posts to a single job board. Many HR professionals and businesses post to multiple boards for one job opening, so the cost is likely much higher.

  2. Only 2 percent of applicants will be called for an interview for the average job opening. This means the average of 250 resumes must be vetted after paying top dollar to advertise them. (Glassdoor)
  3. 42 days is the overall average time it takes to fill a given position. Job postings are charged by 30 day increments. This means that the average job requires at least two months of job postings.
